About Me & Background

My name is Jennifer Shum, currently studying at Harvard University for a Ph.D. after completing my undergraduate studies at Northeastern University. Originally from Northboro, MA I've grown up in the New England area but have traveled across the country for various programs and internships. I love to invent, discover, create and explore. In my spare time I enjoy baking, drawing, coding games, and spending time with my church fellowship group.

Growing up, I have always been inspired by the chance to work on and share cool science projects - whether it be science fair projects or FIRST robotics competitions. So far my mechanical engineering internship and co-op experiences at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, iRobot Corporation and Hologic Inc. have served to further my interest in pursuing the field further. Engineering is exciting to me as a way to build and create technology solutions that can positively impact lives for years to come.
